Tub Gator Nation
Tub Gator track club was born on a bus ride home from the bubble with coach Misuraco, though our athletes competing at the national level goes all the way back to the early 90's.They have competed in many different forms over the years. Cherokee Track Club, Chiefs Track Club, Tomahawk Track Club, Tub Gator XC and currently Tub Gator Track Club.
Our program has been blessed with may talented ladies that have competed at the highest level. We will take a look back at our different National trips.
The Trips
Aside from the girls that earned All American honors, there have been numerous trips to indoor and outdoor national meets. They have been hosted by Addidas, Nike and New Balance. I along with many coaches have traveled to the Armory in NY, NC A&T in Greensboro NC, The Reggie Lewis Center in Boston Ma, Ocean Breeze in Staten Island NY, Franklin Field in Philadelphia Pa and most recently at The Track in Boston Ma. Many a fathers day did I spend driving back home to NJ. Many trips did we pile into a Suburban and set out on a road trip. Its all those meets that have so many great memories for me as a coach, for our program and most importantly for the girls that got to compete.
ALL AMERICANS
The DMR team of Megan Niglio, Maddie Van Haren, Kelsey Niglio and Kerry O'Day broke the school record and finished 4th at the NB Outdoor Nationals running 11:54.48
The 2023 NB Outdoor National meet Maddie Meder, Megan Niglio, Kerry O'Day and Kelsey Niglio finished 6th running 21:03.39
2023 NB Indoor Nationals in Boston. The 4xMile relay team of Kelsey Niglio, Maddie Meder, Megan Niglio and Kerry O'Day ran 20:56.84 to place 4th.
The New Balance Outdoor Nationals 4 x Mile team of Megan Niglio, Kerry O'Day, Kelsey Niglio and Nikki Clifford ran a school record of 20:42.80 to place 2nd.
The 2022 NB Indoor Nationals SMR relay ran a school record time of 4:04.27 to place 2nd. Maddie Van Haren, Ali Cooke, Kelsey Niglio and Nikki Clifford.
2022 Nike Indoor Nationals DMR team ran 11:57.91 to break the indoor school record and place 2nd. The team was Megan NIglio, Ali Cooke, Kelsey Niglio and Nikki Clifford.
2022 NB Indoor Nationals 4x800m ran a school record time of 9:07.27 to place 4th. The team was Kelsey Niglio, Kerry O'Day, Megan Niglio and Nikki Clifford.
2021 did not see a National meet due to covid restrictions, but the 2021 team went undefeated and won the Nike Northeast Regional meet. The team consisted of Nikki Clifford, Kelsey Niglio, Megan Niglio, Olivia Parkinson, Kerry O'Day, Alaina Bromley, and Noelle Falzone.
Megan Lacy ran a school record 5000m at the NB Indoor National meet running 16:49.00 to place 4th.
